In this session, we will present/demo two considerably different cases of human communication with AI, such as a natural-language-based communication with an intelligent tutor and transparent AI, the opportunity to see student models and receive explanations of system recommendations. We will then have participants work in smaller groups to identify places and contexts where AI could be used to enhance education in cases like these and others. Finally, we will group contexts into clusters focused on similar types/context of using AI, and re-group so that each table can focus on a similar groups of types/contexts. The goal of the new discussion should be to exchange information and generate a list of issues (ethical and technical)/controversies/biases/possible problems associated with each context.
