Seamless spatial and temporal alignments in mixed-reality technologies and their cognitive implications
Charles Xie
Seamlessly integrating virtual and physical elements is critical for creating genuine mixed-reality experiences. Aligning these elements in space and time across the two worlds provides 1) perceptual anchors that situate science simulations in the real world and 2) conceptual models that explain real phenomena in the virtual world.
