Online Homework Research: ASSISTments

Neil Heffernan

An objective independent research organization, SRI International, published a peer-review journal article reporting that ASSISTments caused students to learn 75% more on a standardized test of math achievement, compared to what they would have learned in a typical school year. ASSISTments also helped close persistent achievement gaps. We are proud to get this amazing validation and want to thank the 80+ teachers that agreed to be randomly assigned to control or treatment. Due to this validation, Neil and Cristina were invited to present about the study results at the White House. See the White House presentation and learn more about the study results.
