2016 Active Learning in STEM Education Symposium

The Active Learning in STEM Education Symposium was one event in a 3-day celebration of the recipients of the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST).

At the event, approximately 300 participants explored the research behind student and teacher engagement as co-learners through an opening session by NSF and the Office of Science and Technology Policy, a keynote speaker, a featured panel, and breakout sessions on different topics. During the breakout sessions, PAEMST award-winning teachers also gave brief presentations.
